Thanks. This is watercolor medium and charcoal wash. This is part of a large series of Detroit and Ozark Mountain works that I have been continually returning to over the last seven years. The medium use was intially inspired after being awarded a residency in northern Arkansas. Before leaving I went to Utrecht and just put down as much money as I could on new materials. The mediums which were new products at the time ended up suiting the sensations of the landscape there ( and upon returning to Detroit ) perfectly.
